Job Title: Autoclave Washroom Technician

Job Description

• The Autoclave Washroom Technician works in a controlled cleanroom environment, carefully washing and handling medical devices using industrial, kitchen-style sinks and related equipment.
• This role involves standing for extended periods, lifting devices that can weigh up to approximately 40–50 pounds when filled, and following strict cleanliness and safety procedures to support the preparation of medical devices.
• 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, working 6am to 2:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean medical devices using large industrial kitchen-style sinks and related washroom equipment.
• Handle medical devices that may weigh up to approximately 40–50 pounds when filled, using proper lifting techniques and safety practices.
• Maintain strict cleanroom standards, including following all hygiene, contamination control, and safety protocols.
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Work autonomously to complete assigned cleaning tasks accurately and on time.
• Inspect devices during washing to ensure they meet cleanliness and quality standards.
• Organize and maintain the washroom area to keep it clean, orderly, and compliant with cleanroom requirements.
• Follow written instructions, work orders, and standard operating procedures related to washing and autoclave preparation.
• Communicate any issues with equipment, cleanliness, or device condition to the appropriate team members.
• Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work on your feet throughout the shift in a cleanroom environment.
• Capability to safely lift and handle items weighing up to approximately 40–50 pounds.
• Experience or strong comfort level with washing tasks and dishwashing processes.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict cleaning and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Reliability and consistency in following established protocols in a regulated environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a cleanroom or similarly controlled environment.
• Familiarity with industrial dishwashing or washroom equipment.
• Basic understanding of contamination control and hygienic work practices.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Work Environment

• This position is based in a cleanroom environment that requires adherence to strict cleanliness, hygiene, and contamination control standards.
• You will work autonomously and spend most of your shift on your feet, performing washing and cleaning tasks at large industrial kitchen-style sinks and dishwashing equipment.
• The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and consistent procedures, with appropriate cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment required to maintain a controlled and compliant workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
