Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in K-6th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and is based at a single convenient site near Layton, UT. The role begins as soon as possible and will extend through the school year, with flexibility on the end date.
Your caseload will comprise approximately 70 students, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in each child's academic journey. You’ll draw on your expertise to help students overcome communication challenges and empower them to thrive. Candidates should be open to supervising an onsite Speech-Language Technician (SLT), contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active SLP license or eligibility in Utah
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- School-based experience required
- Comfortable with teletherapy and in-person service delivery
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience or willingness to provide oversight to an onsite SLT
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed student records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Supervise and support the onsite SLT in daily tasks and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
