Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant Rochester-area school community. This full-time assignment spans from early September through mid-to-late November, with a possibility of extension. Your expertise will help young learners develop essential communication skills, with a focus on articulation and fluency interventions in education classroom settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and certification for New York
  • Recent experience working in school-based or pediatric settings
  • Strong understanding of strategies for improving articulation and fluency in children
  • Ability to develop and deliver IEP-driven therapy plans
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and staff
  • Familiarity with documentation and progress monitoring in a school environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students, primarily in education classrooms
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff
  • Facilitate progress monitoring and prepare documentation for IEP meetings and parental updates
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing observations and recommendations
  • Create a supportive, engaging atmosphere that inspires students’ confidence and growth
