School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Valparaiso, Indiana

Step into an impactful opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Valparaiso, IN. This contract role will provide essential coverage for an SLP on FMLA during the first 12 weeks of the academic year, from August 10th through the end of October. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated Speech-Language Assistant (SLA) to provide services across two welcoming elementary buildings, engaging with a robust caseload of approximately 117 students. This position welcomes both on-site and VOCO (virtual/remote) candidates, offering flexibility for your preferred work style.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC required) with eligibility for Indiana schools.
• Demonstrated experience providing SLP services in educational settings.
• Comfortable managing a larger caseload, including strong prioritization and organization skills.
• Experience collaborating with or supervising SLAs is highly preferred.
• Familiarity or willingness to work across multiple buildings and with diverse student populations.
• Teletherapy experience (if applying for VOCO/virtual option) is desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with speech, language, and communication needs.
• Develop and implement individualized plans in accordance with IEP guidelines.
• Oversee and collaborate with a dedicated SLA, delegating and coordinating services efficiently.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services provided.
• Communicate regularly with staff, administrators, and families to support student progress.
• Adapt to a fast-paced school environment and adjust to varying student needs across the two elementary campuses.
