Make a difference in the educational journey of students by supporting communication development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a collaborative school setting. Two exciting full-time positions are available, each offering unique opportunities to work with diverse student populations.

You'll provide clinical expertise in one of two environments: supporting K–5 learners at a vibrant elementary school or addressing complex communication needs for students aged K–12 in a specialized program. Both settings value adaptive strategies, teamwork, and impactful student outcomes. Standard school hours allow for work-life balance while actively contributing to student success.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in North Carolina.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience with school-based caseloads, especially with elementary-aged children or low-incidence disabilities, is desired.
  • Strong skills in conducting evaluations, developing IEP goals, and providing direct therapy.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and inclusive communication strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students as outlined in IEPs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop clear, measurable goals.
  • Manage assigned caseloads, including documentation and progress monitoring.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating on intervention plans and accommodations.
  • Employ augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate.
  • Provide support and education to staff and families regarding speech and language development.
