- Location: Metro Lexington, KY
- Position: Staff Pharmacist
- Pay: Competitive pay rates
- PTO: 3 weeks vacation
Pharmacy Hours
The pharmacy is currently operating the following schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Anticipated Future Schedule
Hours are expected to expand to:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Weekends: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
What You'll Do
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will help ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and effective medication therapy while providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Counsel patients regarding medications, side effects, interactions, and proper use
- Assess prescriptions for appropriate dosing, potential interactions, and medication safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Administer immunizations and provide other clinical pharmacy services as authorized
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns
- Assist with medication inventory, ordering, storage, and control
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
- Maintain continuing education and licensure requirements
?Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care, drug therapy, and medication safety
- Excellent communication and patient-service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
