Job Title: Assembler / Production AssociateJob Description

The Assembler / Production Associate is responsible for performing production activities that transform raw materials or semi-finished components into finished commercial lighting products. This role involves mechanical assembly using hand and pneumatic tools at individual workstations in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The position is on first shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with voluntary overtime opportunities on Fridays or Saturdays for temporary employees.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical assembly of commercial lighting fixtures according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools, such as drivers and screwdrivers, to assemble components safely and efficiently.
  • Handle raw materials and semi-finished goods and transform them into finished products through established production processes.
  • Work at an individual station while collaborating with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Inspect assembled parts and products to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements, and report any defects or issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities and work assignments in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, or safety.
  • Complete required production documentation and communicate status updates to supervisors or team leads as needed.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED desired but not required.
  • Ideally 2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience using hand and pneumatic tools, including drivers and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks with attention to detail and quality.
  • Capability to work effectively as part of a team and support shared production goals.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tasks.
  • Basic ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to production processes and safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience assembling lighting fixtures or similar mechanical products is beneficial.
  • Comfort working at individual workstations while coordinating with nearby team members.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability in adhering to scheduled shift hours.
  • Willingness to learn new assembly techniques and adapt to updated processes.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Littlestown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.38 - $18.38/hr.
