Job Description
This role focuses on operating, setting up, and maintaining high-precision production equipment in a metal stamping and forming environment to consistently produce parts that meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-precision production equipment in a metal stamping and forming environment to produce parts that meet customer specifications.
- Load coils safely and efficiently, using a lift truck or overhead crane to load and remove coils as needed.
- Set up machines to the required specifications, including tooling adjustments, to ensure parts remain within defined tolerances.
- Run production equipment, monitor machine performance, and maintain continuous operation of machines throughout the shift.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and take corrective action to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.
- Read and interpret piece part drawings to understand dimensional requirements and specifications.
- Measure parts using appropriate inspection equipment, including flatness indicators, microscopes, and hole size gauges, to verify compliance with specifications.
- Inspect raw materials and coils for defects, cleaning and preparing materials prior to production.
- Enter accurate data into inspection, adjustment, production, and inventory sheets to maintain proper records.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and flaws, and ensure that all specifications for size, thickness, and flatness are met.
- Make necessary adjustments to machines and tooling to keep parts within specification limits.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and palletizing of finished products in accordance with company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including oiling and lubricating equipment as required to maintain optimal performance.
- Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to production, quality, and safety guidelines at all times.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience operating, setting up, and performing maintenance on high-precision production equipment in a metal stamping and forming environment.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret piece part drawings and production documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform machine setup, change-outs, and basic maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency using measuring and inspection tools such as flatness indicators, microscopes, and hole size gauges.
- Experience working in a production manufacturing environment, including production line and general labor tasks.
- Capability to troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments to tooling and machines to maintain specifications.
- Basic data entry skills for inspection, adjustment, production, and inventory records.
- GED or High School Diploma required.

- Experience working in an ISO-regulated manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a production environment.
- Comfort working with lift trucks and overhead cranes to handle coils and materials.
- Background in the manufacturing industry with exposure to diverse product portfolios.
- Attention to detail in inspecting raw materials and finished parts for defects.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple shifts and adapt to production demands.

Work Environment
This position is based in a clean, ISO-regulated manufacturing facility with a strong focus on quality and safety. The primary schedule is Monday through Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with a shift differential for night work. You will work around high-precision metal stamping and forming equipment, using measuring and inspection tools, lift trucks, and overhead cranes. The facility maintains a professional atmosphere and good company culture, with clear procedures and standards to guide daily operations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Phillipsburg, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50232.00 - $50232.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
