School Psychologist Needed near Norwich, CT
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students within a school setting. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate student needs, provide academic and behavioral support, and promote students’ overall success.
Location: Norwich CT (within 10 mi)
Position Type: Full Time Contract (W2)
Start Date: ASAP pending onboarding (~2 weeks)
Pay Rate: $50-60/HR depending on experience
Required skills and qualifications:
- Active CT School Psychologist License (will consider pending certs for candidates who meet all qualifications for the endorsement)
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and special education eligibility.
- Participate in PPT meetings and contribute to the development, implementation, and review of IEPs.
- Provide individual and/or group counseling and social-emotional support as appropriate.
- Consult with teachers, families, administrators, and related-service providers regarding academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns.
- Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions and behavioral support strategies.
- Assist with crisis intervention, prevention, and student safety planning as needed.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete required reports.
- Ensure services and evaluations are completed in accordance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines.
