- Job Title: Test Mechanic
- Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (4-Month Assignment)
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Schedule: Monday-Friday | Must be able to work any assigned shift
- Pay Rate: $55-$59 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week with very limited overtime

As a Test Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting critical aircraft system testing, troubleshooting complex issues, validating system performance, and ensuring aircraft meet engineering and operational requirements. What You'll DoAircraft Testing & Validation
- Perform power-on testing of aircraft systems including:
- Wiring and control modules
- Flight control systems
- Doors and lighting systems
- Cabin pressure systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Landing gear operations
- External electrical power systems
- Autoflight and flight data systems
- Crew oxygen and flight recording systems
- Battery compartments and pilot controls
- Aircraft freedom-of-motion checks
- Analyze test results and diagnose system discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and avionics-related issues.
- Read and interpret complex schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Identify root causes and support corrective actions to ensure system functionality.
- Conduct functional testing of:
- Integrated cooling systems
- Potable water systems
- Fire suppression systems
- Oxygen systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Cabin pressure control systems
- Moisture control systems
- Cargo heating systems
- Integrated surveillance systems
- Pitot-static systems
- High-interference radio frequency systems
- Load and verify required aircraft software for operational readiness.
- Utilize specialized equipment and tools during installation and final functional testing activities.
- Capture, validate, and interpret measurement data using precision laser measurement equipment, including laser trackers.
- Perform complete inspections of fabricated and procured parts and assemblies, including first-part reviews.
- Use shop mathematics, precision measuring devices, and testing instruments to verify quality and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of aviation testing, maintenance, or aircraft systems experience
- Experience performing full power-on testing of aircraft systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with integrated avionics systems
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform inspections and functional testing of complex aircraft assemblies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to stand and work throughout the entire shift
- Must be able to work any assigned shift
- Experience supporting forward fuselage integrated testing
- Experience with laser measurement equipment and precision alignment tools
- Familiarity with aircraft software loading and system integration testing
- Background working in aircraft manufacturing, modification, or delivery environments

Pay Details: $55.00 to $59.00 per hour
