We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join a cosmetics organization in El Segundo, California on a Long-term Contract basis. This role supports day-to-day accounting and inventory activities across multiple product lines, with a focus on maintaining accurate records, analyzing discrepancies, and assisting with operational reporting. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating across teams, and keeping financial and inventory processes running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle customer payment dispute research and follow through on chargeback resolution to support accurate financial outcomes.
• Develop and update product markup information, ensuring calculations remain organized and aligned with business needs.
• Review warehouse stock records and complete reconciliations to confirm inventory accuracy across locations.
• Compare inventory data with external vendors and kitting partners, then investigate and resolve any mismatches.
• Process order transfer activity and validate reporting for online sales channels such as Amazon and TikTok across multiple markets.
• Record inventory-related adjustments tied to internal usage, testing, kitting activities, and production support needs.
• Monitor returns, scrap activity, and related inventory movements to maintain reliable accounting records.
• Organize cycle count activity, add new items to counting groups, and research variances involving raw materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate the removal of obsolete inventory held at third-party facilities while supporting additional accounting and operational projects as needed.• High school diploma required; an associate degree or comparable practical experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, inventory, operations, supply chain, or a related business function is preferred.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks along with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes, chargeback handling, and spreadsheet-based analysis is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and identify inconsistencies quickly.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially when reconciling data from multiple sources.
• Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Ability to work onsite in El Segundo, California at least 1 day per week.
