Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Mammography Technologist will perform mammographic imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and high-quality diagnostic images. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in working with patients and healthcare professionals in a clinical environment.
-> Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using specialized imaging equipment.
- Properly position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Operate mammography, X-ray, and other applicable medical imaging equipment.
- Follow established imaging protocols and radiation safety procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support diagnostic evaluation.
- Review images for technical quality and ensure appropriate images are obtained for radiologist interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and other required clinical information.
- Provide patients with clear information and education regarding the mammography procedure.
- Follow all applicable safety, infection control, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report equipment issues as appropriate.
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication when interacting with patients and members of the healthcare team.
-> Qualifications
- Valid certification/credentialing as a Mammography Technologist.
- Demonstrated experience performing mammography procedures.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to mammography.
- Familiarity with X-ray and other diagnostic imaging modalities.
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality mammographic images.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in imaging and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and quality care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
