Job Description
Perform FCAW welding using 1/16 wire on structural steel and plate assemblies. Complete multi-pass fillet welds on thick materials to specification. Execute back gouging and air carbon arc gouging to ensure full penetration welds. Work off blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings for complex assemblies. Assist with the fabrication of large storage tanks, vessels, structural frames, and modular steel systems.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
- Strong experience with FCAW welding (1/16 wire).
- Ability to pass a fillet weld test - xray and bend test.
- Experience with back gouge and air arc required.
- Structural steel welding experience required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with tanks, bridges, pressure vessels, and vessels.
- D1.1 and D1.5 certifications are beneficial.
- Erecting experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
