Step into a rewarding opportunity to support elementary students as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for the full academic year. In this engaging role, you will play a vital part in helping children develop their communication skills within a supportive school environment just outside Carmel, IN. Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds or is eligible for an SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric speech therapy, particularly within school settings
- Previous work with elementary-aged children is preferred
- SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) experience in either school or healthcare settings is an advantage, though not required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy to elementary students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor progress throughout the school year
- Document sessions, maintain thorough records, and contribute to team meetings
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and other service providers
- Offer support in classroom environments to promote carryover of skills
- Stay informed about the latest speech-language pathology best practices
