Job Description
Make a meaningful impact while working across two dynamic educational settings—one middle school and one high school. This contract-based Speech-Language Pathologist role offers the chance to support a smaller student population, while focusing on specialized needs within center-based programs at both buildings. Enjoy a 40-hour workweek from approximately 7:35 am to 3:35 pm, though there is some flexibility. For those interested in part-time opportunities, arrangements can be explored to meet your preferences. The position starts as soon as possible and runs through December, with the possibility of extending through the remainder of the academic year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based practice, especially working in middle and high school settings
- Comfort supporting students with a range of communication needs, including those in center-based programs
- Collaborative approach, able to work closely with teachers, families, and support staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
- Manage caseloads in both mainstream and center-based classrooms
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and updates
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate regularly with educators and families regarding student needs and successes
- Adapt strategies and schedules as required for student and school needs
