We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead accurate and compliant payroll operations for our team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This position plays a central role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while supporting strong reporting, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, advanced payroll knowledge, and the ability to work closely with HR and Finance in a confidential environment.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing on assigned pay cycles, ensuring timely and accurate payment for all employees.
• Review employee data changes, including onboarding updates, separations, compensation adjustments, and benefit deductions, to maintain reliable payroll records.
• Verify earnings calculations such as regular pay, overtime, incentive compensation, and other applicable payments before finalizing each payroll run.
• Monitor tax withholdings, garnishments, child support orders, and other mandatory deductions to ensure proper administration and compliance.
• Reconcile payroll registers and related reports, investigate variances, and correct issues in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Prepare payroll summaries and supporting documentation for leadership, accounting, and audit needs.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions involving pay, timekeeping, and deductions, providing clear and attentive support.
• Partner with Human Resources and Finance to keep employee information aligned across systems and ensure payroll data remains current.
• Support year-end payroll activities, including tax reporting, W-2 preparation, and audit documentation while safeguarding sensitive employee information.

• At least 5 years of payroll experience, including responsibility for full-cycle processing.

• Working knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and wage and hour compliance standards.

• Experience using payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, Workday, Payroll4Construction, or comparable systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications for reporting and analysis.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume payroll data accurately.

• Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.

• Ability to communicate clearly with employees and cross-functional teams while handling confidential information with discretion.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
