We are looking for an experienced Human Resources specialist to support a dynamic manufacturing operation in Connecticut. This on-site role works closely with local leadership and employees to strengthen workplace relations, guide talent practices, and help build an engaged and productive workforce. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing strategic partnership with day-to-day HR support in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with plant leadership to align human resources priorities with staffing needs, organizational goals, and employee engagement efforts.
• Address workplace concerns by leading employee relations matters, conducting reviews, and guiding appropriate follow-up actions.
• Advise supervisors and managers on coaching, performance discussions, policy application, and employee development approaches.
• Support long-term talent needs by contributing to succession planning and identifying growth opportunities for high-potential employees.
• Manage hiring activities for hourly and contract operations staff, including candidate sourcing, interviews, selection, and onboarding coordination.
• Work with recruiting partners on searches for specialized and leadership positions to ensure timely and effective hiring outcomes.
• Assist with pay-related programs and provide insight to leadership on retention risks, engagement trends, and workforce challenges.
• Review people data and staffing patterns to identify issues, highlight opportunities, and recommend practical HR solutions.
• Promote compliance with employment regulations and internal standards while partnering with the broader HR team on shared initiatives.• At least 4 years of progressive experience in human resources, including generalist or manager-level responsibilities.
• Prior HR experience within manufacturing, distribution, or another operationally focused environment is required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; study in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong background in employee relations, recruiting, performance management, compensation support, and talent planning.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and their application in the workplace.
• Proven ability to influence leaders, provide sound coaching, and build credibility across multiple employee groups.
• Effective communication, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving setting.
• Experience with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now or SAP SuccessFactors is preferred.
