Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Coquille, OR
Job Description
A unique opportunity awaits speech-language pathologists interested in contributing their expertise within a K-12 educational setting. This full-time, contract role involves working with a diverse caseload, providing both direct and indirect speech and language services. You’ll collaborate closely with team members while supporting students’ communication needs throughout the academic year.
In this dynamic environment, you’ll manage typical SLP responsibilities, including conducting IEP evaluations, writing plans, and delivering intervention to students across multiple grades. The district values administrative support—indirect hours and participation in paid team meetings are part of the schedule. Details on location of therapy, IEP systems, and potential for supervision are still being finalized, but you can expect a responsive and supportive leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Oregon SLP license is required
- Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
- Experience in pediatric settings, especially schools or teletherapy, is highly regarded
- Familiarity with caseload models and ability to adapt to different school settings
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for collaboration and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students in K-12
- Write and implement IEPs based on student goals
- Deliver both direct therapy and consultative/indirect services
- Attend and contribute to paid team meetings and engage in administrative hours
- Maintain accurate records consistent with educational and district standards
