This contract position is based near Long Beach and Inglewood, CA, offering a supportive atmosphere and the chance to work a traditional Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a current, valid SLP licensure for California
  • Background in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
  • Proficiency in completing IEP assessments and documentation
  • Experience working with elementary-age students
  • Capacity for flexible caseload management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to coordinate and transition responsibilities smoothly from the current SLP

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive IEP assessments for students, evaluating needs and strengths
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans
  • Provide direct therapy services for a broad range of speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student progress
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Support the seamless transfer of duties from the out-going SLP to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights to educational planning
