We are looking for a skilled Assembler to join our team, focusing on the assembly, inspection, and packaging of products. This role involves manually applying epoxy, conformal coating, and silicone to parts, as well as utilizing hand and power tools to assemble units based on work orders. You will also be responsible for completing documentation, following work orders, and performing final inspections before packaging and shipping products.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, inspect, and package products according to specifications.
  • Apply epoxy, conformal coating, and silicone to parts manually.
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble units based on work orders.
  • Complete documentation and adhere to work orders.
  • Conduct final inspections before packaging and shipping products.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in assembly and electronic assembly.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in soldering, including J-Standard soldering.
  • Familiarity with IPC 610 standards and electromechanics.
  • Experience with SMT, circuit boards, and electrical wiring.
  • Ability to work under a microscope.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Six months of electronic assembly experience.
  • Ability to navigate a computer.
  • ITAR Certification.
  • Capability to cross-train and move to other departments.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to distinguish different colors (not color blind).

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and requires wearing a smock, safety glasses, and a static guard band. You will need to stand for the entirety of your shift. The role requires excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with small parts. It is important to be comfortable working under a microscope and be unaffected by the smell of solder.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Peter, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
