Job Description

This role focuses on operating forklifts and performing hands-on tasks in a concrete manufacturing environment where piping and related products are produced. You read and interpret tape measurements and basic blueprints, assemble materials and components, and support the production and finishing of concrete parts while maintaining a strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, molds, and finished concrete parts throughout the facility.
  • Read and interpret tape measurements and basic blueprints to understand build requirements for each project.
  • Assemble rebar and other components to fit inside molds for concrete piping, following specifications accurately.
  • Use hand tools and power tools with confidence to complete mechanical assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Lift and carry materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily work activities.
  • Move and drag finished concrete parts to designated finishing areas using appropriate equipment and methods.
  • Perform finishing work on fully dried concrete products, including using hand sanders to achieve required surface quality.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure products meet quality standards and blueprint specifications.
  • Support general labor tasks around the facility, including cleaning work areas and assisting team members as needed.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and a willingness to help out in different areas of the operation when required.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures appropriate for a dusty, dirty manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and apply measurements to production tasks.
  • Ability to understand and work from basic blueprints and build-out instructions.
  • Comfort using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly and concrete finishing.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly in a manufacturing setting.
  • Basic hand-eye coordination for assembling rebar and other components into molds.
  • Experience operating a forklift or working in environments where forklift operation is required.
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, concrete, or construction environments.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise assembly and high-quality finished products.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability, with a commitment to showing up every day and completing assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to assist with general labor and support various functions across the facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior concrete or construction experience is a major plus.
  • Background in mechanical assembly, masonry, general labor, or sheet metal work is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a dusty and dirty manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to adapt to different projects and builds based on blueprint requirements.
  • Strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Openness to training and learning new tasks within the production process.

Work Environment

You work in a dusty, dirty manufacturing facility focused on concrete production, where safety awareness and comfort in an industrial setting are important. The role is on 1st shift, starting at either 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. and continuing until the day’s work is finished, typically 8–10 hours per day. The schedule runs Monday through Friday with no weekend work, supporting a consistent routine and strong work-life balance. You use forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and hand sanders as part of daily tasks in and around production and finishing areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
