The Janitorial Worker maintains clean, orderly, and sanitary facilities by dusting high and low surfaces, cleaning glass, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming and mopping floors. This role requires efficient work habits, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while consistently delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Dust high and low surfaces thoroughly to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Clean glass surfaces, including windows, doors, and partitions, to ensure a streak-free appearance.
  • Empty trash receptacles in manufacturing areas, offices, and break rooms and dispose of waste properly.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs, ensuring all areas are free of debris and dirt.
  • Mop hard surface floors in a careful and efficient manner while maintaining quality and detail.
  • Maintain sanitation standards across all assigned areas, including production and common spaces.
  • Work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning activities.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work.
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation practices and procedures.
  • Ability to perform dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and general cleaning tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated.
  • Reliability in completing assigned tasks and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Background in janitorial services or facility cleaning.
  • Experience working in sanitation-focused environments.
  • Comfort working in manufacturing, office, and break room settings.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
