Why Work Here?

You will join a team-oriented environment that offers flexible, customizable benefits and long-term growth potential. You can enroll only in the insurance benefits you need, with coverage starting after 60 days of employment on the first of the month. A 401(k) plan with a competitive employer match is available, with eligibility after 500 hours within six months or after one year of employment. Paid time off increases with tenure, starting at one week after one year and growing up to four weeks after ten years, with PTO prorated based on your start date. You will also receive eight paid holidays, including floating holidays that allow you to take about one day off per month. The organization supports your development through tuition reimbursement and invests in safety by providing an annual $100 allowance for safety-related items such as steel-toe footwear and safety glasses, as well as supplying all necessary gear except your welding helmet and steel-toe shoes. There are clear growth opportunities, including the ability to move into other departments and learn new skills, and the company continues to invest in modern equipment, adding multiple new machines over the past two years.

Work Environment

The work environment offers a clean, not overly dirty, and relatively quiet fabrication shop with a small-team atmosphere. There are approximately 13 people on the floor, including leadership, which creates a close-knit, small-shop feel. You will typically work in pairs and collaborate closely with teammates. The facility currently operates a single shift, with first shift hours running Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime is typically available on Fridays for 5 to 8 hours; overtime is currently voluntary, but it may become mandatory if voluntary coverage is insufficient. The shop has been upgraded with newer machines, including three new pieces of equipment added within the last two years. Attendance is important, with a structured policy that includes a three-strike system and a warning process for call-ins. The company provides most required equipment and tools, with the exception of your welding helmet and steel-toe footwear, and supports a safety-focused environment with dedicated resources for personal protective equipment.
