This contract position covers a maternity leave, starting as soon as credentialing is complete and continuing through October 23rd, 2026. The assignment is set to begin promptly upon onboarding, with the school year commencing August 24th and a teacher workweek starting August 17th—giving you the chance to jump right in and make a meaningful impact.
As a full-time Occupational Therapist, you’ll enjoy a manageable schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility to negotiate hours and days if needed. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing therapy services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students, ensuring they receive the support and adaptive strategies essential for their academic and personal development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia.
- Experience in a school setting, home health, or general healthcare environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with educators, families, and fellow professionals.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet students’ individualized needs across various grade levels.
- Familiarity with educational documentation, IEP processes, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
