Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Job Description

Plan, schedule, and control all preventive, predictive, corrective, and planned-outage maintenance activities to ensure the optimal use of labor, spare parts, materials, and tools. Maintain critical equipment data and statistical controls to ensure assets remain in optimal operating conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule maintenance activities and manage maintenance software (CMMS).
  • Issue preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in managing external suppliers.
  • Verify and ensure the availability of spare parts, labor, and tools required for preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Collaborate in scheduling equipment shutdowns and special maintenance (outages).
  • Ensure assets documentation is in order.
  • Assist in managing equipment-related documents and regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance software database.
  • Oversee the creation and closure of maintenance work orders and maintenance requisitions.
  • Generate statistics required for maintenance control and KPIs.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on planning experience.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in PM schedule build out.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, work orders, and industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in preventive maintenance (PM): Creation of time- or usage-based routines.
  • Basic interpretation of predictive maintenance (PdM) including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Understanding of reliability methodologies and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Expert proficiency in CMMS management platforms.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, critical levels, reorder points, and spare parts safety stock.
  • Ability to read technical manufacturer catalogs and material coding.
  • Understanding of performance indicators (KPIs).

Work Environment

This position operates on a 1st shift schedule, starting with an 8-hour shift. The role requires flexibility, and the work week is Monday through Friday from 6 am to 3 pm. The position is hourly based.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Huntington, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
