Job Description

What You'll DoAs a CNC Mill Setup Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring production success by:
- Setting up CNC milling machines, tooling, fixtures, work-holding devices, and machine offsets using approved setup documentation.
- Loading, verifying, and proving out CNC programs to ensure seamless production readiness.
- Producing and inspecting first-article parts to verify compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Making machine, tooling, and offset adjustments to achieve and maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Ensuring all required cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, and materials are prepared and available before production starts.
- Troubleshooting machining, setup, tooling, and fixture issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Supporting operators and machinists during job startups, changeovers, and production runs.
- Performing tool changes, program adjustments, and setup corrections as required.
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve processes, reduce setup times, and solve manufacturing challenges.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work area while following all quality and safety standards.
- 5+ years of CNC machining and setup experience, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience setting up CNC milling machines for production.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing instructions.
- Knowledge of CNC controls, cutting tools, work-holding systems, machining parameters, and setup techniques.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Experience working in AS9100, aerospace, medical, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Technical school, apprenticeship, or formal machining education.
- Experience optimizing setups and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment- Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
