This role focuses on accurately picking, handling, and moving materials that support cleanroom kit assembly operations in a high-volume distribution environment. You will use pick sheets and RF scanners to locate and pick products, load them into totes, and ensure they reach the cleanroom efficiently and accurately. The position involves extensive walking, counting, and physical activity, and plays a key role in maintaining a smooth and reliable material flow for production.

Responsibilities
  • Use pick sheets and RF scanners to accurately locate and pick products required for kitting and assembly operations.
  • Load picked materials into designated grey totes and place them onto the conveyor system for transfer into the cleanroom.
  • Verify counts for each product, ensuring accuracy when quantities differ from standard packaging (for example, counting 40 items from packs of 100).
  • Perform a high volume of walking and movement throughout the warehouse to retrieve materials efficiently.
  • Follow written work instructions precisely to ensure correct product selection, handling, and routing.
  • Support general warehouse activities such as picking, packing, scanning, loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving as needed.
  • Operate or work around warehouse equipment such as forklifts or order pickers if trained and assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with cleanroom and warehouse standards.
  • Collaborate with team members in close quarters to keep material flow steady and support production demands.
  • Adhere to all cleanroom gowning, attire, and safety requirements at all times while working in or supporting the cleanroom environment.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to accurately count products, including breaking down larger pack quantities into specific counts (for example, counting 40 from a pack of 100).
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift of approximately 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort with extensive walking and physical activity throughout the shift.
  • Willingness to work in close quarters with other team members.
  • Willingness to comply with cleanroom attire requirements, including no makeup, no jewelry, and no long nails.
  • Availability to work 1st shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with every other Saturday overtime from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) or 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with Saturday overtime as needed).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse experience, particularly in picking or distribution environments.
  • Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience involving shipping, receiving, or packing.
  • Previous cleanroom experience, including working under gowning and strict cleanliness protocols.
  • Experience with kit assembly, especially in a production or distribution setting.
  • Background in medical kit assembly or similar highly regulated, cleanliness-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners, order pickers, and other warehouse material handling equipment.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a cleanroom kit assembly and warehouse facility that is described as super clean, world-class, and highly organized. Material handlers work in a warehouse setting with conveyors, RF scanners, totes, and potentially forklifts or order pickers, supporting a steady flow of products into the cleanroom. Assemblers and material handlers support operations in close quarters and must fully gown up to enter and work in the cleanroom, following strict cleanliness and contamination control standards. The role requires standing for most of an 8-hour shift, frequent walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Shifts include a 1st shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) with every other Saturday overtime from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and a 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) with Saturday overtime as needed. The dress code aligns with cleanroom requirements, including no makeup, no jewelry, and no long nails, and employees must wear full gowning and follow all attire and hygiene protocols while in the cleanroom.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
