You’ll work with middle and high school teams supporting 6th–12th graders, providing vital assistance in all aspects of IEP implementation and documentation.

Your primary focus will be managing IEP tasks, including attending meetings and maintaining accurate records. You'll help to ensure that all required notices, paperwork, and deadlines are managed efficiently, while collaborating with staff at both the high school and middle school buildings.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine Special Education Teacher License
  • Experience working in special education settings for grades 6–12 preferred
  • Proficiency managing IEPs, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Responsiveness and reliability in supporting fluctuating weekly and monthly needs

What You’ll Do:

  • Attend IEP meetings (primarily before or after school hours) as scheduled according to staff and school needs
  • Assist in drafting Written Notices and other essential meeting documentation
  • Enter and update information in IEPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate availability with school staff to maximize support and meet paperwork deadlines
  • Balance support needs across high school and middle school buildings
  • Foster collaborative relationships with educators to help students thrive
