Special Education Teacher | Tinley Park, Illinois

This is a contract opportunity, starting as soon as possible and running through May 27, 2026, with a full-time schedule from 8:00am to 3:15pm. You’ll have the opportunity to nurture, guide, and empower up to 20 preschool students, using your specialized skills and creativity every day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a special education teacher
• Preschool endorsement required
• Previous experience working with early childhood or preschool special education preferred
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, and service providers
• Strong organizational abilities to manage individualized education programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and adapt lesson plans tailored to each student’s IEP
• Establish a supportive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student progress, keeping detailed records and communicating regularly with families
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other team members
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for ongoing student growth
• Foster a sense of curiosity and confidence, celebrating developmental milestones
