Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working onsite with K-12 students in the vibrant Lowell and Andover, MA area. As a skilled occupational therapist, you’ll play a key role in supporting students of all ages and abilities within a collaborative educational environment. This is a part-time, school-based role working three days per week for the 2026-2027 academic year. You’ll be surrounded by dedicated professionals who value your expertise and commitment to student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Prior experience working in a K-12 or school-based setting preferred
- Proficiency in tailoring interventions for students with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to ensure optimal student support
- Provide direct, evidence-based OT interventions onsite, targeting students’ functional and academic skills
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with school and regulatory guidelines
- Attend student meetings and contribute to IEPs when required
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team discussions
