We are looking for a bilingual Loan Service Representative to support consumer lending operations and deliver responsive member service for a credit union in Austin, Texas. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling loan-related questions, assisting with documentation, and guiding members through lending activities in both English and Spanish. The role combines administrative accuracy, lending support, and front-line member interaction to help create a smooth borrowing experience.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the flow of submitted consumer loan applications by routing completed files to loan officers for evaluation and next-step review.
• Respond to member questions about loan status, payoff information, vehicle values, approvals, denials, and related account service matters in a clear and thorough manner.
• Assist members in person with loan inquiries, application completion, and final loan closing activities while providing bilingual support in English and Spanish.
• Process advances for existing lines of credit and credit card-related lending requests in accordance with established procedures.
• Gather payoff figures for refinance requests and calculate vehicle valuation details to support lending decisions.
• Prepare title release and lien release paperwork for management authorization and ensure documents are accurate and complete.
• Handle loan retention-related tasks, including follow-up activities that help maintain strong member relationships.
• Process payoff checks, reconcile totals, and maintain accurate records for loan servicing transactions.
• Provide front desk and reception coverage as needed to support daily branch operations and member service needs.• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six months of experience in lending, loan servicing, or a closely related financial services role.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, including spoken and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced member service environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience in a financial institution and familiarity with consumer lending documentation are preferred.
• Good credit history, along with the ability to complete required screening processes upon offer.
