Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk works in a warehouse environment to efficiently move products through the facility while meeting customer standards. This role involves receiving, picking, packing, inspecting, and shipping products, as well as accurately tracking inventory using RF scanners. Responsibilities- Receive incoming products, verify contents, and ensure they meet required specifications before processing.
- Pick customer orders accurately from inventory according to order specifications and established procedures.
- Pack and package products securely to prevent damage during shipment while following packaging standards.
- Inspect products and orders prior to shipment to confirm accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Ship products to customers by preparing and processing outbound orders according to customer and carrier requirements.
- Verify and process customer orders to their specifications, ensuring accuracy of shipments and documentation.
- Track all inventory using radio frequency (RF) scanners to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Meet key performance metrics as defined by warehouse leadership, including safety, culture, customer satisfaction, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Maintain the safety and security of all associates by following established safety procedures and reporting any concerns.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled to support consistent warehouse operations.
- Support key warehouse areas as assigned, including inventory, picking, packing, packaging, loading, production, general labor, and order picking.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Experience with inventory handling and control in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Proficiency in picking, packing, and packaging products accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to use radio frequency (RF) scanners to track and manage inventory.
- Experience with loading and general labor tasks in a warehouse or production setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate using both verbal and nonverbal methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues related to orders, inventory, and workflow.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, including use of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Basic math skills to perform counts, verify quantities, and support inventory accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in order picking and working with packaging machines is beneficial.
- Familiarity with production environments and general warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Comfort working with RF scanners, ladders, and other warehouse tools and equipment.
- Ability to adapt to cross-training in multiple warehouse areas to expand skills and responsibilities.

Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a warehouse environment that may involve exposure to warm and cool temperatures, bright lighting, and blue light from computer screens. The role routinely uses equipment such as RF scanners, forklifts, utility knives, ladders, machinery, and tape guns. Employees may experience repetitive low to mid-volume sounds from forklift traffic, packaging machines, and other warehouse activities, as well as exposure to various metals and materials commonly handled in warehouse operations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
