Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a respected plaintiff litigation practice in Dallas, Texas. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fully onsite legal environment and enjoys supporting matters from initial intake through trial. The role will work closely with a busy trial attorney on personal injury, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases while helping keep litigation activity organized, timely, and trial-ready.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee case files throughout the full litigation lifecycle, ensuring materials are organized, current, and ready for attorney review.
• Prepare and coordinate written discovery, including drafting requests, compiling responses, and tracking follow-up items.
• Review, organize, and maintain legal records, medical documentation, and other case-related evidence in both physical and electronic files.
• Examine medical billing information and support efforts related to lien evaluation and subrogation resolution.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and supporting materials used for motions, filings, and trial preparation.
• Serve as a key point of coordination with clients, expert witnesses, healthcare providers, and opposing counsel regarding case activity and documentation.
• Support trial readiness by assembling exhibits, preparing witness materials, and assisting with courtroom logistics.
• Monitor filing dates, court deadlines, and case calendars to help ensure all litigation milestones are met.
• At least 3 years of experience in a litigation paralegal role.• Hands-on background managing discovery and maintaining high-volume case documentation.
• Proven ability to assist with trial preparation in active civil litigation matters.
• Experience reviewing medical records, analyzing treatment-related costs, and handling subrogation or lien-related support work.
• Prior exposure to plaintiff-side personal injury matters is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with civil litigation workflows and document management systems is beneficial.
