Job Description
The Technical Recruiter II plays a key role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent across multiple operational functions. This role recruits, interviews, checks references, makes offers, and conducts orientation for new employees, while also supporting exit interviews and employee status changes. The Recruiter II relies on extensive recruiting experience and judgment to plan and accomplish hiring goals, and may lead and direct the work of others on a centralized sourcing team. The position supports hiring for roles such as area managers, site managers, inventory, loss prevention, and workplace health and safety, and requires a high degree of creativity, autonomy, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full-cycle recruiting activities, including screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates to ensure strong alignment with role requirements.
- Use advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search methods, to identify and engage passive and active candidates across multiple channels.
- Manage and maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation throughout the recruitment process.
- Check professional references and verify candidate information to support sound hiring decisions.
- Prepare, extend, and negotiate employment offers in alignment with organizational guidelines and hiring needs.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new employees to support a smooth onboarding experience.
- Perform exit interviews and process changes in employee status to support accurate HR records and continuous improvement in workforce practices.
- Collaborate closely with hiring teams to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and prioritize requisitions.
- Leverage industry knowledge and best practices in recruiting, sourcing, and talent acquisition to meet hiring goals and timelines.
- Plan and accomplish recruiting objectives by relying on extensive experience, judgment, and a strong understanding of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Perform a variety of recruiting and sourcing tasks, adapting to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide guidance and may lead or direct the work of other team members within the centralized sourcing team.
- Report to a manager or head of a unit or department, providing regular updates on recruiting activities, pipelines, and hiring outcomes.
Essential Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing and recruiting across multiple role types, including management and operational positions.
- Proficiency in modern sourcing techniques, including Boolean search strategies, to identify and engage candidates.
- Hands-on experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidates and requisitions.
- Strong in technical recruiting and talent acquisition practices.
- Ability to conduct professional interviews, assess candidate fit, and perform thorough reference checks.
- Experience making employment offers and supporting onboarding, including conducting orientation for new hires.
- Familiarity with a variety of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures, and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Proven ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish recruiting goals.
- Capability to perform a variety of tasks and manage multiple requisitions in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others when needed, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, which may be required for this role.
- Experience supporting recruitment for area managers, site managers, inventory, loss prevention, and workplace health and safety roles.
- Comfort working on a centralized sourcing team and partnering with multiple stakeholders across different functions.
- High degree of creativity and latitude in designing and executing sourcing strategies.
- Ability to adapt to evolving hiring needs and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This role operates within a centralized sourcing team that supports hiring across multiple operational functions. The team primarily prefers candidates based in Seattle, with additional opportunities for those located in Nashville and Arlington. The work environment emphasizes collaboration, communication, and partnership with various hiring teams. Recruiters use applicant tracking systems and modern sourcing tools to manage candidate pipelines and support hiring goals. The position typically reports to a manager or head of a unit or department and offers a high degree of autonomy, creativity, and responsibility in planning and executing recruiting strategies.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
