Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state
- Experience working with students in an educational or school-based setting
- Skilled at adapting curriculum and lessons for diverse learning needs
- Understanding of ELS (English Learner Services) and individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to maintain organized documentation and required compliance records
- Commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment
- Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about working in person
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Deliver engaging instruction to students in a supportive, inclusive classroom
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Advocate for students’ learning and behavioral needs within the school community
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development
