Job Description

The position is based in Sylmar, CA, serving a busy hospital under the Los Angeles County Department of Health System (LACDHS), known for its comprehensive ambulatory care and hospital services.
Ideal candidates will have completed a PGY1 residency or possess approximately two years of recent inpatient hospital experience. Candidates without a PGY1 but with some hospital experience, including internships, will also be considered. Location: Sylmar, California
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility to work all shifts, mainly first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be required
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care and services within the inpatient hospital setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional policies
- Prepare for and pass a competency exam essential for onboarding
- Complete background clearance and live scan for employment eligibility
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- PGY1 residency completion highly preferred
- Alternatively, approximately two years of inpatient hospital experience or relevant internship experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts in a hospital inpatient environment
- Commitment to professionalism and patient-centered care
Additional Details:
- Long-term contract arrangement
- Onboarding process duration: approximately 4–6 weeks
