Speech Language Pathologist in Portage, IN

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide coverage during an FMLA leave for the first 12 weeks of the upcoming school year. Key Details:

• Assignment runs from August 10th through the end of October.
• Substitute position covering FMLA leave.
• Serves two elementary schools.
• Support from a Speech-Language Assistant (SLA) is provided.
• Caseload: Approximately 117 students, distributed between two schools.
• Open to both on-site and VOCO (virtual) professionals.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required.
• School-based SLP experience preferred.
• Comfortable managing a larger caseload with SLA collaboration.
• Familiarity with IEPs, student documentation, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language services as outlined in student IEPs.
