We are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to join a legal team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position is suited for an experienced litigator who can manage complex business disputes from initial case assessment through resolution. The ideal candidate brings strong courtroom preparation skills, sound legal judgment, and the ability to develop persuasive written arguments in high-stakes matters.
Our client works often in shareholder disputes, securities litigation, complex business disputes, breach of contract, patent infringement, and other complex matters.
Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle, including strategy development, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Prepare, revise, and file substantive legal motions, briefs, and other case-related documents with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Direct discovery efforts by drafting requests, reviewing responses, analyzing evidence, and coordinating document production.
- Conduct legal research and translate findings into clear, persuasive arguments that support case objectives and client interests.
- Represent clients in hearings, conferences, depositions, and other litigation proceedings while maintaining strong advocacy standards.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams, clients, and outside stakeholders to evaluate risk, refine case strategy, and drive matters toward effective resolution.
- Active license to practice law in good standing; excellent academic credentials
- At least 7 years of experience handling civil or commercial litigation matters.
- Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other substantive litigation documents.
- Strong working knowledge of discovery procedures and case development practices.
- Experience managing multiple complex matters while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present legal arguments clearly and effectively.
