Job Description

We’re seeking two dedicated Special Education teachers for long-term substitute roles—one at the elementary level and one at the high school level. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues until further notice, providing full-time hours and the chance to make a daily difference.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs
- Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate varying abilities within the classroom
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent support for students
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that encourages engagement and growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification for the state
- Previous experience working in either an elementary or high school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and best practices in differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with students, families, and teams
- Compassion, patience, and flexibility to support students with diverse needs
