Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
• Skills and understanding relevant to assisting students in a school setting
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications (required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and students
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with diverse student needs

Role responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to assigned students, often within autism support classrooms
• Follow individualized education plans and guidance from classroom teachers or special education coordinators
• Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions
• Support students in achieving academic and social goals
• Foster a positive, respectful environment in alignment with school policies
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure each student’s success
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation as needed
