Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Santa Monica, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-8th grade students as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher. This full-time assignment offers a vibrant, collaborative environment where you'll support students across multiple school sites in the Santa Monica and Malibu areas. Work closely alongside two other experienced APE teachers, allowing for shared planning, resource exchange, and professional growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active California teaching licensure required
• Demonstrated school-based experience in adaptive physical education
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8
• Must pass TB test and fingerprinting prior to start
• Reliable transportation for travel between school sites
• Credentialed candidates strongly preferred and will receive priority

Position Details:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week
• Serve a diverse K-8 caseload at multiple locations
• Collaborate daily with a team of APE teachers
• Provide specialized physical education instruction, develop individualized programs, and create inclusive and engaging activities
• Document student progress and participate in team meetings
• Travel required between school sites in Santa Monica and Malibu
• Immediate start through June 9, 2027
• Interviews conducted virtually via Zoom
