Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Program new CNC parts and components using Mastercam.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills for short-run production.
- Create machining programs directly from blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop efficient manufacturing processes.
- Perform approximately 3-4 machine setups per week.
- Operate and monitor 1-3 machines simultaneously while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Adjust machine offsets, perform tool changes, and optimize machining processes.
- Inspect finished parts using:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Pin Gauges
- Other precision measuring equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and dimensional tolerances.
- Perform self-inspections and document quality results.
- Support production of components utilized in downstream assembly operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology, Machining, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of Mastercam programming experience.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and CNC mills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
- Strong knowledge of:
- CNC machine setup
- Tool changes
- Offsets
- CNC operations
- Ability to manage multiple machines while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing complete machine setups on equipment such as:
- Haas Mills
- Citizen Swiss Machines
- Mazatrol Machines
- G-Code and M-Code programming experience.
- Experience across various CNC machining centers and machine platforms.
- Familiarity with industrial manufacturing components and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience working in low-volume or short-run production environments.
Work Environment
This position is based in a large, modern, and exceptionally well-maintained machine shop. You'll work with CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers in a professional manufacturing environment focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The facility provides the tools, equipment, and support needed for machinists and programmers to succeed while offering exposure to a wide range of machining applications and manufacturing processes.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rogers, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
