SUMMARY:
Oversee inventory accuracy, optimization, and control across distribution centers and consignment warehouses. This role oversees the Warehouse Management System (WMS) within NetSuite and drives continuous improvement in inventory principles, stocking strategies, and inventory discrepancy resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management & Optimization
- Maintain, and continuously optimize preferred stocking levels (min/max, reorder points, safety stock) across distribution centers and consignment warehouses based on demand patterns, lead times, and sales forecasting.
- Manage inventory adjustments, item fulfillment adjustments, damage/write-offs, transfers, and corrections in NetSuite for distribution centers and consignment warehouses.
- Enforce inventory principles, procedures, and best practices to maintain inventory accuracy (target >98%).
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to reduce excess stock, obsolescence, and stockouts.
- Monitor key inventory KPIs and publish monthly/quarterly reports with insights and recommendations.
- Maintain special fill SKU access.
Inventory Discrepancy Resolution
- Lead root cause analysis for all significant inventory discrepancies, variances, shrink, & PSL reroutes.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues in receiving, picking, shipping, returns, and consignment processes.
- Partner with warehouse operations, finance, and supply chain teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Oversight
- Utilize NetSuite’s RF Smart WMS for all inventory-related modules and processes.
- Lead system testing for new releases, enhancements, and integrations related to inventory and warehouse functions.
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and training to warehouse teams and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory transactions and controls.
Travel & Support
- Travel as needed to distribution centers and consignment warehouses for on-site audits, training, process reviews, and issue resolution, approximately 10-15%.
- Serve as primary backup to Materials Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Data Analytics or related degree
- Prefer 1-2 years related experience or a combination of education and experience to include root cause analysis and preventative actions
- Analytical mind with detail orientation
- Critical thinking and discernment skills
- Professional and personable communicator
- Excel proficiency to include Lookups and Pivot tables
- NetSuite (or experience with another ERP system), preferred
- Driver’s license with safe driving record
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
Perform job duties in an office environment with occasional travel to warehouse locations
