Step into a dynamic contract role serving students in life skills programs across multiple campuses near Springfield, OR. This opportunity spans up to three locations, with an established schedule split between specialized and behavior-focused environments. From August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027, you’ll work 40 hours a week, providing essential support to a caseload of approximately 33 students.

You’ll play a crucial part in helping students reach their fullest potential through targeted speech-language services. Half your time will be at a campus specializing in SPED support, while the remainder will focus on socialization and behavioral needs at a separate site. You won’t be alone—collaborative, on-site assistance from special educators, paraprofessionals, and other team members is always available, and monthly SLP team check-ins ensure continued guidance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Experience with feeding, swallowing (safe eating practices), and AAC preferred
  • Previous school-based SLP or life skills programming experience highly desired
  • Comfort managing behavioral challenges in a high school setting
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary support network

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to students’ IEP goals and life skills needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document student progress
  • Partner with special education staff, paraprofessionals, and families for holistic student support
  • Participate in virtual meetings and monthly on-site SLP team sessions
