Your expertise in assessment will play a crucial role, as this role focuses solely on conducting evaluations—school counselors provide counseling services. With a blend of onsite presence and one designated virtual day each week (to be consistently scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday), you’ll enjoy flexibility while maintaining meaningful engagement with school teams and students.

Applicants must hold an active School Psychologist license in Texas. Prior to consideration, references will be required.

Preferred Background and Skills:

  • Active and valid Texas School Psychologist license
  • Experience performing psychoeducational assessments, particularly with elementary-age children
  • Strong understanding of evaluation frameworks, report writing, and special education eligibility guidelines
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple campuses
  • High level of professionalism, collaboration, and communication
  • Adaptability for a dynamic, multi-campus setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for elementary students as part of the special education eligibility process
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to support student needs and planning
  • Prepare comprehensive, timely evaluation reports with actionable recommendations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Coordinate schedules to efficiently travel between campuses while dedicating a consistent virtual day each week
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and district trainings as required
