Corporate Event Coordinator - Client Events & Hospitality
Job Description
Corporate Event Coordinator – Client Events & Hospitality
New York, NY | Hybrid – 3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote
If you enjoy creating polished, memorable events and are the person who notices the details that make everything come together, this is an opportunity to take on a highly visible event coordination role with a leading national law firm.
You’ll work with a sophisticated corporate practice to coordinate high-touch client dinners, hospitality programs and special events in New York and other major markets. The role combines corporate event planning, fine dining, hospitality and client service and offers the opportunity to take real ownership of events from planning through execution.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate client dinners, receptions and special events from beginning to end.
- Research and work with restaurants, venues and vendors throughout the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
- Manage menus, dietary requests, room arrangements, guest experience and other event logistics.
- Coordinate invitations, guest lists, RSVPs and event communications.
- Work directly with attorneys, internal teams, restaurants and vendors to keep events organized and running smoothly.
- Assist with wine selection, research, purchasing, shipping and event materials. An interest in and familiarity with wine and fine dining is valuable; deep wine expertise is not required.
- Maintain event records, contact information and tracking through CRM and other systems.
- Provide onsite support for selected dinners and events and anticipate issues before they affect the guest experience.
- Support larger client programs and special events as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We are interested in candidates with professional experience in corporate event planning, client events, hospitality or a closely related environment. Rather than focusing on a specific number of years, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Strong event planning and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple events, deadlines and moving pieces simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- A polished, professional approach to clients, executives and vendors.
- Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
- An appreciation for hospitality, restaurants, wine and creating an excellent guest experience.
- The ability to remain composed and resourceful when plans change.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and CRM/database systems.
A bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant professional experience will also be considered.
The Opportunity
This is a strong fit for an event professional who wants to move beyond routine event administration and become closely involved in high-end client experiences for a sophisticated professional organization. You’ll work with exceptional restaurants and venues, coordinate events in multiple markets and have meaningful interaction with the professionals and clients you support.
The position is based in New York City with a 3-day in-office / 2-day remote hybrid schedule. Some local travel in New York and New Jersey is required, along with occasional travel to the San Francisco Bay Area. Most events take place during the workweek; some schedule flexibility for evening events is required.
Salary: $75,000–$90,000, depending upon experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), paid time off and additional benefits.
