Materials Delivery Driver

We are currently searching for a Material delivery driver to work for a local construction company located in Metairie, La.

Pay for this position will be BOE $21-23 per hour plus overtime pay anything over 40 hours per week/ M-F/ Hours will be as early as 4:30am and late as 6pm-7pm depending on where the drop off will be.

401K is provided plus other benefits.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Safe and Efficient Driving: Operate commercial vehicles (trucks with flatbed trailors, tractor-trailers, box trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.

Route Planning and Navigation: Plan routes, follow maps and GPS, and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Loading and Unloading Cargo: Load and unload cargo, using equipment like liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including refueling, cleaning, and inspecting for mechanical issues.

Paperwork and Documentation: Complete and verify paperwork, including logbooks, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.

Communication: Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers as needed.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.

Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Securing Cargo: Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.

Maintaining a Detailed Log: Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
