Water Damage Restoration Technician

PuroClean of Chattanooga specializes in restoring and repairing residential and commercial properties after they have suffered damage from water, fire & smoke, mold and biohazard damage.

We are looking for a bright individual to lead and perform restoration projects as well as assist with drying, cleaning and repair services.

You would be responsible for the fast response and coordination of emergency claims and other restoration-related activities. Qualified candidates must have excellent communication skills, the ability to interact with clients who are stressed and have just experienced property damage. Strict attention to detail in executing the job with our processes and checklists.

Wage: $22 to 27 per hour and 40 to 45 hours a week

We are willing to train the right individual for this position of responsibility. We will provide you with comprehensive PAID training.

Qualifications

• Must have clean driving record.
• Professional appearance and decorum.
• Customer-oriented, outgoing and personable.
• Basic knowledge of construction and building materials.
• Basic carpentry skills, plumbing & electrical systems knowledge.
• Drywall skills are a plus
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
• IICRC Certifications are a plus; or willingness and ability to obtain certifications within six months. (we will pay for all training)
• Participation in rotational on-call schedule.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• You would perform field restoration activities including demolition, emergency flood service & water extraction, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, content cleaning, pack out and storage and other specialized cleaning.
• Ensures proper set-up and monitoring of equipment used to address the property’s restoration needs. Upon completion of jobs, picks up, cleans and returns equipment to the shop in a timely fashion.
• Ensures timely arrival for scheduled appointments with property owners/managers and other parties. Notifies customer in advance if the crew is running ahead of or behind schedule.
• Takes appropriate steps to protect the customer’s property from further damage including, but not limited to, use of protective shoe covers and floor mats, sealing off areas to prevent the spread of dust and other materials, safe removal of furnishings, flooring, walls, etc. You will ensure that job tools & equipment and materials that will be left onsite overnight are organized and placed in a secure location, that trash is removed and the property left as clean as possible.
