Medical Biller/Insurance Specialist

Full time, Monday through Friday for busy multi-disciplinary practice. Qualified candidate will have 2+ years of experience with all aspects of medical insurance billing and follow up.

Duties include:

• Submitting, filing and processing of all claims for payment using both paper and electronic billing.
• Researching and resolving claim delay issues.
• Insurance verification and eligibility. Assesses patient financial requirements and advises patients and families on insurance benefits, co-pays and financial obligations
• Following up on A/R including insurers and patients
• Researching non-payment of claims and appealing denials

Candidates should possess the following qualities:

· Ability to multi-task, think "outside the box" and work independently as well as in a team environment

· Professional and friendly demeanor

· Detail oriented

· Excellent communication skills

· Working knowledge of medical terminology, computerized billing, Medicare, WC, PIP, commercial insurances.

· ICD 10/CPT coding, use of modifiers
