Mouratoglou is expanding its footprint across multiple states within the racquet sports industry in the United States, and we are seeking a motivated and hands-on Human Resources Coordinator to join our local Miami team. Reporting to the HR Director USA, the role combines rigorous execution with the opportunity to help build the structures, processes, and standards that will support the organization's continued growth.
Position Overview
We are seeking an HR Coordinator who is comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. This is an early-career opportunity for a candidate with up to two years of HR experience who is looking to develop broad, hands-on exposure across the full HR function. The ideal candidate will manage key HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits administration, immigration, and employee relations, under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, contribute to the development of HR programs and processes and help build scalable people practices as U.S. operations expand.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting and onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, candidates screening, and interviews
- Manage offer letters and employment documentation, including approvals and signatures
- Coordinate the onboarding process, benefit enrollment and conduct new hire orientation
- Coordinate background screening and credentialing requirements as needed.
Employee lifecycle and records
- Maintain accurate employee data across legal entities and states.
- Process promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and departures
- Manage offboarding, including state-specific final pay, equipment return, and exit interviews
- Assist with updates to job descriptions, offer letter templates, and HR procedures as needed.
HR Compliance
- Build and maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law requirements across operating jurisdictions
- Maintain the multi-state compliance tracker and required postings under the direction of the HR Director, covering leave, meal and rest breaks, pay frequency, wage notices, and final pay
- Assist with I-9 audits and other statutory reporting, and workers’ compensation claims intake
- Assist with updates and distribution of the employee handbook and state addenda.
Payroll and benefits
- Support payroll by preparing and verifying inputs for hires, changes, terminations, PTO, and bonuses
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions
- Serve as a first point of contact for benefits, PTO, and leave questions.
Immigration and work authorization
- Gather and submit supporting documentation to outside immigration counsel for visa petitions and related filings, as directed by the HR Director
- Maintain the tracker of work authorization status, visa expirations, and renewal deadlines, and flag upcoming deadlines to the HR Director.
- Monitor employment eligibility documents and complete I-9 reverifications
- Maintain immigration files and case records
- Support onboarding for internationally mobile employees.
Employee relations and HR projects
- Receive and document first-line employee questions, and route employee relations matters to the HR Director
- Support investigations through scheduling, documentation, and note-taking
- Coordinate meetings, prepare HR documents, and support initiatives such as engagement surveys, referral programs, and internal mobility
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
PROFILE
- 0-2 years of experience in an HR coordinator, HR assistant, or comparable role; internship experience considered
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational understanding of U.S. employment law; multi-state exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems; ADP or Rippling a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Fluent English required; French proficiency is a plus.
- Exposure to immigration processes or progress toward an HR certification (aPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Strong communication, judgment, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to work with limited supervision on defined tasks, collaborate effectively, escalate appropriately, and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
